Ava Norring – Hungarian Movie Player

“Ees beeg mixation. I pick up telephone – I say thees ees Ava and people ees disappoint. They theenk ees Ava Gardner. I theenk I change to Ada, hoh? Thoes way I weell not have to change monograms on my bath towels.” – Hungarian model Ava Norring (1929-2016). 

Norring was briefly signed by Twentieth Century Fox in the early 1950s. Apparently, she had no acting training, and did not even want to be an actress. However, Fox scouts thought she was beautiful enough to give her a try.
