Cliff Edwards – Ukulele Ike

Cliff Edwards Ukulele Ike

“I bought a uke and learned to play it at night. Someone told me they were looking for ukulele players in Chicago cabarets, so I quit my $12 a week lunchroom job I then had and got $50 a week in a Chicago cabaret. Next I broke into vaudeville and went to New York for “Lady Be Good!” More musical comedies, more vaudeville, many records, more money, a tour of Europe and now – the talking picture.”Cliff Edwards (Ukulele Ike)
