Bones Unearthed in Glendale May Be Flood Victim’s

Los Angeles Times, May 31, 1949

Deteriorated human bones were found yesterday in a yard at 827 N. Glendale Ave., Glendale police reported.

Ralph Savatore told Officer W.B. Idleman he struck the bones in a four-foot hole where he had intended burying rubbish. Specimans will be taken to Glendale College to determine the age of the bones and possible identity.

Police said it was possible the remains are those of a 1935 Verdugo Wash flood victim.
