Mary Thurman

“I am amused, as I recollect, some of the utterances that followed our appearance in bathing costume. But I want to say, that, as compared with the bathing costumes of today, we were as much dressed up as was a belle in the early part of this century as compared with the street costume of the present day. We at least left something to the imagination.” – Mary Thurman in 1922.

Thurman was a Sennett Bathing Beauty who died in 1925 at the age of 30 from pneumonia.
