“The Iron Curtain”  is a 1948 black-and-white Cold War thriller film directed by William Wellman. As one can expect from the title alone, the story centers around Soviet Union infiltration and espionage. Obviously made for American audiences after World War II.

Dana Andrews plays a Russian espionage agent sent to Canada to crack codes. June Havoc plays a Soviet vamp out to get him. Gene Tierney rounds out the Russian love triangle by playing Andrews’ wife. Secrets, betrayal and bad Russian politics ensue as Andrews faces moral dilemmas.
